The Wishlist: Top Five AW16 Accessories By ChloBo

In the run up to the Christmas season, I am delighted to welcome a guest post by the stunningly beautiful handmade designer jewellery brand, ChloBo. I have my eye on the ‘Cute Mini Butterfly Bracelet’, but which is your favourite jewellery trend this Autumn-Winter season?

—————————————

Shopping during the autumn and winter months can be stressful. There are people everywhere intent on finding dozens of Christmas gifts early, and you end up bustling from shop to shop just to avoid the bad weather, but still unable to find that perfect outfit. With this in mind, it helps to keep on top of the latest fashion trends, so that when you do hit the high street, you know exactly what you’re looking for. In this post, you’ll find the top five AW16 accessories that should keep you in style over the next few months.

  1. The choker

The classic choker from the 90s came stampeding back onto the runway a couple of years ago, but this past summer it’s been particularly popular on the high street, and it’s been given an even better makeover for this winter. You can expect to find gold chokers, glitter chokers, and a lot of styles that cross over between choker and collar to create a piece of statement jewellery that will make an impact on any outfit.

  1. Ear cuffs and headpieces

The whole idea of hippie and bohemian style doesn’t just have to be kept to the summer months. This season it’s all about combining ear cuffs with headpieces; you can either match the two styles so that your ear cuff is made of a similar metal to the headpiece, or by co-ordinating the colours in each piece. On the other hand, you can pick up ear cuffs now that are connected to headpieces, either by links or chains, to create a very strong statement for a Christmas outfit. From gun metal to rose gold, there’s a style for every girl.

  1. Charm bracelets

Speaking of bohemian style, there are some beautiful boho charm bracelets on the market currently. Just because they’re quirky and unique doesn’t mean they can’t be equally elegant and glamourous. You can go for something bold like a rose gold bangle, or something subtle like a silver butterfly bracelet, but they will be sure to get people asking questions when they see this on your wrist. You can even mix and match bangles to create a truly unique look.

  1. Multi-layering

Speaking of mixing and matching bracelets, multi-layering jewellery is another huge trend at the minute, as it means that you can tie outfits together using different coloured metals. For a really stunning effect, mix gold or silver necklaces of different lengths and pendants around a central theme on a plain black outfit, to turn something from ordinary to extraordinary.

  1. Rough diamonds

Finally, you may have noticed that gemstones no longer have to be contained in small, delicate settings – this season, they’re bigger, bolder and often roughly cut. This look has become hugely popular with people looking for an alternative style, and it comes in everything from cuffs to earrings and headbands. You can check out more on this trend as well as others right here.
